Kim Hyun Joong comes clean about nose job
SEOUL: Korean singer-actor Kim Hyun Joong admitted during an appearance on Korean comedy talk show "Knee-Drop Guru" on Wednesday, that he has had a nose job, reported Korean media.
"It's (his facial features) both God-given and touched up by a doctor," said Kim, in response to host Kang Ho Dong's questions on whether his looks were God-given or 'man-made'.
"I was watching the older boys in the neighborhood try to break a radio by throwing rocks at it.
"My nose was hurt when I got hit by a rock. I later got treatment for my nose and raised it a little in the process," explained the 25-year-old "Boys Over Flowers" star.
It is very rare for Korean celebrities to publicly admit that they had gone under the knife, even though in reality, many K-pop stars may have had work done.
Last year, Shin Yong Ho, a popular Korean cosmetic surgeon, revealed that as many as 95 percent of the country's celebrities have undergone procedures to enhance their looks at some point in their careers.
