S.H.E reunion with Selina out, says Hebe Tien citing painful recovery
TAIPEI: Taiwan singer Hebe Tien revealed that S.H.E. group mate Selina Jen still suffers from painful spasms more than six months after her horrific filming accident last year, which left her with serious burns on her body, reported Taiwan media.
"Her damaged nerves are still growing back, she suffers from painful spasms that make her feel as though she has had an electric shock," said Tien during an awards ceremony on Monday.
The 28-year-old singer, who had since successfully embarked on a solo career, added that Jen could only return to the stage next year at the earliest.
"I hope to return to the time when we (S.H.E.) struggled forward together," said Tien, whose album "To Hebe" has been successfully nominated for Best Mandarin Album at this year's Golden Melody Awards.
S.H.E. has also been nominated for the Best Group award at the 22nd Golden Melody Awards.
Tien will have to represent both herself as a solo singer, and S.H.E at the Golden Melody awards presentation ceremony later this week, as group mate Ella Chen is busy shooting a film and Jen's ill health prevents her from making an appearance.
The Golden Melody Awards, held annually by Taiwan's Government Information Office, is the Taiwanese equivalent of the Grammys.
